New York City, including Times Square, will be seeing several traffic changes and delivery restrictions during the eight FIFA World Cup 2026 games played at MetLife Stadium. Changes will take place on game days from six hours before kickoff until three hours after matches conclude.

On game days from six hours before kickoff until three hours after matches conclude, truck deliveries will be prohibited between 30th Street to 60th Street from the Hudson River to the East River. Exemptions include cars, vans, cargo bikes, and essential delivery providers.
On game days from six hours before matches begin through three hours after they conclude, 42nd Street from First Avenue to Twelfth Avenue will be converted into a bus-only corridor reserved for MTA buses, NYNJ shuttles, Official World Cup affiliate vehicles, and first responders.


On game days from six hours before kickoff until three hours after matches conclude, two lanes on Sixth Avenue and existing bus lanes on Fifth Avenue will be reserved for MTA buses, NYNJ shuttles, Official World Cup affiliate vehicles, and first responders from 42nd Street to 59th Street.
