Imagine Peace
Artist-Led Audio Guide

Imagine Peace was a public art installation presented by Art Production Fund in honor of Global Truce 2012 on September 21st, 2012. The project consisted of Yoko Ono’s "Imagine Peace" message, translated into 24 world languages, appearing on Times Square video screens throughout the day. Participating screens included MTV 44 1/2, Viacom North and South, and American Eagle Times Square.

IMAGINE PEACE is artist Yoko Ono’s worldwide initiative of anti-violence. This is an ongoing project using Internet projects, posters, thoughts, badges, and a multitude of other media to communicate its message of peace to the global community.

Imagine Peace was also presented by Art Production Fund as part of the London 2012 Cultural Festival, in conjunction with the London Summer Olympics from June 21 to September 9, 2012, bringing together leading artists from across the world. The project consisted of Yoko Ono's "Imagine Peace" message, translated into 24 world languages, appearing on London 2012 Live Sites screens, and screens at Victoria Park, Hyde Park, and Art on the Underground/Canary Wharf.

  • Viacom North and South (151 Broadway between 44 & 45th Street)
  • American Eagle Times Square (1551 Broadway at 46th Street, NW corner)
