Performing on July 16: Afrikumba Utibe Drummers
Afrikumba Utibe Drummers originated in Trinidad and Tobago before relocating to the United States, where the group has performed for fans across the country, as well as internationally. Now centered in New York, these percussionists play a Calypso African beat that "makes you want to dance, love, and move until you drop." The group describes its musical style as one "that brings life and spirit to the soul, releasing us from daily struggles."
