Bade Stageberg Cox is an award-winning architecture office based in New York City and led by principals Tim Bade, Jane Stageberg and Martin Cox. The firm has been recognized for its approach to the design of spaces for culture and the arts, with projects ranging from temporary interventions and art installations to designs for nonprofits, galleries and museums. BSC was recently chosen as the winner of a design competition sponsored by the New York Restoration Project for a state-of-the-art flood-resistant outdoor recreation and learning center at Sherman Creek.The work of the firm has been featured in publications internationally, including The New York Times, Domus, Mark, Archiworld and Art World, and has been included in exhibitions at the Guggenheim Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Center for Architecture. Awards for design excellence have included an International Architecture Award (2010), a Lumen lighting award (2008) and an AIA California Council Honor Award (2008) for the Art Cave; an AIA New York Honor Award for "PSi: Summer Blow-UP" (2009) and an AIA New York Excellence Award for the Grafted House (2009). The firm was a finalist for the PS1/MoMA Young Architects Program, and in 2013 was selected for NYC's Department of Design + Construction Design Excellence Program.
